During her visit she met with Wojowoda Pomorski and the head of Indo-Polish Cultural Committee Mr. Sunil Ahuja. In the meeting Ambassador discussed about the coopration in the field of Culture and business in Pomorski region and India.

SUMMARY:Offer of ICCR Scholarship for the Academic Year 2018-19
DESCRIPTION:Applications are invited from Polish nationals wishing to pursue higher studies in Indian universities and higher educational institutions at under-graduate\, post-graduate or a doctoral/post-doctoral level under ICCR General Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2018-19. \nThis scholarships cover enrolment and course fees\, besides grant of a fixed amount of living expenses\, on quarterly basis\, to the approved scholar/student. It is compulsory for all students accepted under the GSS Scheme stay inside the Hostel and no exception for family or health reasons will be made. The scholarships are granted for the full duration of the course. \nBeginning this year\, the application process has been greatly simplified and made online. The eligible students need to apply at the ICCR scholarship portal – A2A (Admission to Alumni) Scholarship portal – http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in The newly developed portal contains all the relevant information for the applicants including details of all participating Universities\, colleges affiliated with them\, courses offered\, availability of hostels\, application guidelines\, eligibility criteria and other relevant information for helping the applicants in decision-making while applying for the academic courses of their preference. \nEligible students wishing to submit their applications are advised to carefully go through the courses offered by the Universities before finally submitting the application form. List of universities where ICCR students are currently studying is available at ICCR?s website www.iccr.gov.in. Applicants are required to submit a medical fitness certificate from the recognised hospital in the prescribed format available with the online application form. \nCompleted application need to be submitted latest by Monday\, 15 January 2018 through the A2A Scholarship portal. Short-listed candidates will have to undergo an English Proficiency Test\, followed by an interview\, details of which will be communicated to them in due course.

DESCRIPTION:Sixty-nine years since the birth of its Constitution\, the nation celebrates Republic Day on Friday with a grand parade at Rajpath. In a first\, 10 Heads of State\, of ASEAN countries\, are chief guests at the parade. Taking to Twitter\, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday greeted the nation this morning on the occasion. \nAt Rajpath\, India showcased its military might as well as its rich cultural heritage and traditions coupled with the latest initiatives and achievements. Several states\, organisations and government departments also showcased their achievements through tableaux. \nOn the eve of Republic Day\, President Ram Nath Kovind called for a ?civic-minded? society where one can disagree without ?mocking? the other?s dignity\, a social contract where neighbours respect each other?s ?space\, privacy and rights.? This was President Kovind?s first Republic Day address as President.
